L'Ardéchoise : Les Gorges

Here we are, in the famous Ardèche gorge with its legendary Pont d'Arc. This section of Sur les Routes de l'Ardéchoise is 30 kms majestic beauty. A circuit alternating between volcanic granite and Mediterranean limestone, between fir trees, pine trees, olive trees, lavender, vines and the song of cicadas. Take note of the striking contrasts, from the bright ocre in the south to the grey basalt of the mountains. It's a technically demanding circuit but plan a couple of stops in Balazuc and Voguë – both designated Villages de Caractères.
